How does this collage represent my identity?
I feel you can identify people by the things you do. I put a picture of my twin brother in my collage because he is one of my best friends. He is somebody I can always count on to have my back. Me and my brother go to different colleges and when i got here it felt kind of weird not having him around for the first time in my life. This is what influenced me to join a fraternity which is another thing i identify myself with. I joined a fraternity because the relationship i have with my pledge bros is kind like the same relationship with my twin. Another thing i feel people identify me with is my truck. People notice that i take good care of my truck. i think i got this character trait from my dad. Growing i have always noticed how my dad takes care of all of his things. He values the things he has because he had worked hard for them. My dad has been taking my brother and i hunting and fishing ever since we were little kids. Hunting and fishing is thing that i love to do with my brother and dad. I feel it has brought us closer through all the great hunting and fishing experiences.
What are the links between images and identity and our society? What types of images do you identify with?
In our society there are a lot of unique characters and the way we identify them is by the things they do and the images we see of them. When you see images of people you can start to determine their identity by there actions and the way they present themselves. Everyone's identity is so different because everyone has different experiences that impact them in many different ways. I think if you take a look at my profile pictures on Facebook you will find that i identify myself with the hunting and fishing that i do. People always give me hard time about my profile pictures because they all have fish and deer in them, but these images remind me of the good times that my dad, brother and i have had out in the outdoors, so thats why i like them
