Well this has been a very homework intensive week. Not as much in this class, but in my other engineering classes it has been a tough week. I have finally got my homework squared away so i can enjoy my weekend. This major inquiry project is finally starting to take shape.

First Week Class Summary
This week has been easier than I thought it would be. I liked the introduction activity, it made the class feel a lot more relaxed. The slides made taking notes more easier to fallow along. We did lots of review over key terms and grammar. I remembered most of the review stuff. Then we got started with the Rhetorical analysis. I have a little practice with this already because of 1101 english, which I took last semester. I had to write a five page analysis paper about a article of my choice. Today she introduced the major Inquiry project. This project sounds like it is going to be very drawn out and time consuming. Im glad it is broken down into small parts so its easier to keep up with. It has been a solid first week.

Rhetorical Analysis
I this it shows President Obama golfing. When you look closer and actually read what he is saying and read the flag you start to gab the message. Now this could definitely be interpreted in a few different ways. From the Republicans point of view he will realize that when you say fore while golfing it normally means that you have hit the ball towards a crowd of people or towards a person, and someone is about to have a bad day if they get hit with the ball. So with that in the back of your mind when you read the the flag say "more years" on it, a Republican will get nervous with the thought of that. If you are democratic you may just look at this image and think, wow this is a creative picture. If they figure out the actual meaning behind this picture a Democratic would be very offended.
Reading and Writing
I would not consider myself a skilled reader or writer although I do both almost every day. I do a lot of simple reading like text messaging, checking Facebook, and of course reading for my classes. I would never pick up a book to read for fun because I don't really find reading entertaining. When it comes to writing I can safely say I do more than I want to on a daily basis. When I'm writing I am normally writing notes for a class or reminders for myself so I don't forget to do some homework or something like that. I find when I am writing I tend to express stuff in writing the same way I would if I were to speak it.
